How To Moisturize Facial Skin

& Get Rid of Dry Facial Skin

There are many products designed to moisturize dry facial skin. Some are obviously better than others, especially if you want to get rid of the problem for good.

One of the most effective moisturizers is Shea butter and Keratin. If you really want to see results, start using a restorative night cream that contains these ingredients.

**Shea Butter – Excellent Moisturizer

Shea butter is a nut-butter. There are many different grades, including the food grade. The premium grades are free of contaminants and have the highest degree of pharmaceutical activity.

**Use Natural Ingredients Not Synthetic

That’s right. The natural ingredient has proven pharmaceutical activity when applied to the skin’s surface.

SHEA BUTTER:

· Reduces inflammation,

· Soothes burns,

· Treats eczema,

· Reduces scarring,

· Helps to fade stretch marks,

· Useful in acne,

· And More.

The product is not well-known in the US. In Africa where the tree grows, you will find it is every drugstore. It made its way to Europe long ago. In the US, it is still grouped with cocoa butter. The pharmaceutical companies in the US have a great deal of control over the available products for treating skin conditions.

  • Skin – The Primary Concern

Treating dry facial skin is not usually considered a medical problem. But, if you think about it, you realize that the skin is the largest organ of the body. It should be treated with care. The primary concern should be the health of the organ, not just the appearance. When the skin is healthy, the skin’s appearance is greatly enhanced.

The skin’s ability to rejuvenate can easily be damaged. The use of a restorative night cream supports natural rejuvenation and helps to repair the damage.

There are two things that combine to create a moister complexion;

· Water in the skin’s cells

· Sebum.

Sebum is a kind of oil produced by the skin’s sebaceous glands. Sebum is composed of fatty acids. Oil and water don’t mix, as you may know. Sebum, the oil, repels water which helps to keep it locked in the skin’s cells.

The bad ingredients that you learned about in my last article strip sebum away. Water inside of the cells quickly evaporates.

**How Shea Butter Helps Your Skin

Shea butter is composed of fatty acids nearly identical to those present in sebum. It basically replaces the sebum lost during cleansing.

If you wear makeup, you know how important it is to wash it away before bed at night. But at the same time, you are washing away sebum. If you do not use a restorative night cream, you will wake up in the morning with dry facial skin.

Shea butter is not the only ingredient to look for in a restorative night cream.

  • Keratin Improves Skin Moisture

Keratin is another that helps to reduce dry facial skin. It has been proven in clinical studies to improve the skin’s moisture content and its ability to retain moisture.

While Shea butter provides the immediate benefit by replacing lost sebum, Keratin helps to heal as time goes by. After 18 days, researchers have seen a significant improvement in water retention within the cells.

The regular use of a good restorative night cream will get rid of dry facial skin and keep it from coming back. Now you have the answers you were looking for.
